Luin juuri Ransom Riggsin Miss Peregrinen eriskummallliset lapset -sarjan toisen osan nimeltä Hollow City. Kirjan takasivun mukaan kolmas osa on tulossa pian. Hollow City onkin eräänlainen väliasema, olettaen että kolmas kirja tuo tälle tarulle päätöksen. Hollow City on koukuttava, mutta ei ehkä aivan niin mahtava lukuelämys kuin kirjasarjan ensimmäinen osa oli. Ehkä siksi, että Riggsin luoma eriskummallinen maailma ei ole lukijalle enää täysin vieras, vaikka paljon uusia, ennestään tuntemattomia elementtejä nouseekin toisen osan myötä esiin. Tässä osassa valotetaan tarkemmin myös eriskummallisten lasten menneisyyttä, millaisista oloista kukin on Miss Peregrinen luo päätynyt. Kirja on ns. hyvällä tavalla ärsyttävä, sillä seuraavaa osaa jää
odottamaan totaalisen malttamattomana, varsinkin leuat loksauttavan
lopetuksen jälkeen.

I just finished reading "Hollow City", the second novel of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. The next volume titled "Don't Look Away" is coming soon. Hollow City is not quite as great a reading experience as the first volume, because the peculiar world is not totally unfamiliar to the reader anymore. Although there are plenty of new things to discover about the peculiar world through the pages of Hollow City. The second book also sheds light into the peculiar children's past, how they came to be with Miss Peregrine. The book is annoying in a good way, so that you're very anxious for the next volume to come. Especially after that jaw-dropping ending.
